Jin-Wen Yu Dance
Jin-Wen Yu Dance, a small, professional, non-profit modern dance company based in Madison, WI, performs multi-media, cross-cultural works that draw artistic design/choreographic inspiration from many sources including Tai Ji, modern dance, ballet, Chinese opera dance, and technology (primarily video and computer work). The company was founded in 1999 by artistic director Jin-Wen Yu and has performed in venues worldwide, in cities including New York/NY, Chicago/IL, Los Angeles/CA, Philadelphia/PA, San Francisco/CA, Madison/WI, Boston/MA, Taipei, Taichung, and Kaohsiung/Taiwan, and Seoul/Korea, among others. Jin-Wen Yu dance offers performances, residencies, master classes, and lecture demonstrations, all exemplifying the unique blend of movement choices and dance styles exhibited in the Jin-Wen Yu Dance repertory.
